The water jet cutting of aluminium is a technique which enables optimum use of materials. The pattern that gives the minimum waste and therefore the most economical production costs, is designed with the help of a CAD program. All we need is a drawing on paper or via e-mail (DXF or DWG files for AutoCad). Water jet cutting entails the cutting of material with an abrasive added to the high powered jet of water. One of the foremost advantages of this procedure is the extremely high precision. The need for expensive milling work is therefore reduced and subsequent treatment is not usually necessary. Surface fineness of Ra 4 can be obtained. |
Advantages of water cutting:Optimum use of raw material. No heating or any other material deformation. Complicated figures can be cut out and perforating is easier. High surface fineness makes subsequent treatment rarely necessary. Consistent quality Both thick and thin materials can be cut. Several products can be cut at the same time, thanks to the different jets.
